On Friday the ruling party of congress party suffered a huge defeat. In the state election of Andhra Pradesh D. Srinivias the chief of congress party was defeated by A. Lakshminarayana.
He lost to this BJP leader by 12,200 votes. This result was from Nizamabad urbanconstituency.
D. Srinivas was also defeated in the year of 2009. In 2009 they were lost by 11,015 votes. This result shocked Srinivas as he was planning to join the state cabinet.
He was even emerging possible successor to K. Rosaiah the Chief Minister. Lakshminarayana had quitted with 10 legislators of TRS (Telangana Rashtra Samiti) for the demand of separate state of telangana early this year.
In this movement he was also joined by one of the Telugu Desam Party.
