Rohilkhand University was established in the year 1975. In the year 1997 Rohilkhand University was renamed as Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU). It has one hundred fifty four affiliated colleges. The new courses offered by MJPRU are Engineering and Tech, Agriculture, Management, Law, Applied Sci, and Allied Sci etc.
