Shiv Sena came ahead of Samajwadi Party in Bhiwandi East by-election.

Rupesh Laxman Mhatre, the candidate of Shiv Sena is chosen by Maharashtra State Assembly with 1676 votes.

Farhan Abu Asim Azmi from Maharashtra Samajawadi Party was defeated by Mhatre. [smartads]

Meanwhile BJP came ahead of Gujarat by-election & Khorani Bharatbhai Vasharambhai, the BJP candidate won by 22368 votes from his Shiv Sena competitor Shamajibhai Bhimajibhai Chauhan.

In Ellenabad by-election INC candidate Bharat Singh Beniwal was defeated by INLD candidate Abhay Singh Chautala by 4707 votes.
