India’s principal power manufacturer National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) proposes to hire around 1,300 employees in the subsequent fiscal. The staffing will be online with its target to become a 50,000-MW company by year 2012.
It has hired around 900 employees hitherto in the existing fiscal that will climb to 1100 by the ending of the fiscal. The company recruited & gave jobs to 1050 employees in the preceding fiscal. [smartads]
NTPC’s Human Resource (HR) Director R.C. Shrivastava told its required to increase its count by 1200 to 1300 in the subsequent fiscal in outlook of its goal.
He added that NTPC requires around 1,600 employees both executive & non-executive for each 4,000 MW & the staffing plan of 1,300 people might boost. Around 500 people leave NTPC each year & 400 to 500 employees retire from their service annually. Considering this, NTPC would need more employees to accomplish its objective.
The company’s existing installed power creation capability from all energy sources stands at larger than 30,000 MW & NTPC has set a target of taking this number to 50,000 MW in the subsequent 3 years.
